Price rise in the food industry
Domestic industrial prices were down by 0.7 percent in February 2009, compared to January and up by 4.6 percent, compared to March 2008. Industrial export prices were up by 12.2 percent compared to February 2008. Industrial prices were 9.1 percent higher than a year earlier. Prices in the food industry rose by 2.1 percent in the same period. The value of the HUF expressed in EUR was down by 17 percent compared to March 2008 and by 39.4 percent compared to the USD.
