Food industry holding its ground
Industrial production was down by 27,1 percent in April 2009, compared to April 2008. The industrial production index was down by 5,1 percent compared to the previous month. Industrial export was down by 30,8 percent, compared to April last year. Production of the processing industry was down by 17 percent in the same period, with the food industry which accounts for one-eighth of the total output of the sector producing a drop of only 6 percent
