The food bank is expecting Christmas donations in 257 department stores

The Hungarian Food Bank Association organizes its Christmas food collection this year again: on Friday and Saturday, donations of the population are accepted in 257 large stores of 140 settlements throughout the country –the association told MTI on Wednesday.

The association needs mainly permanent food products – sugar, canned goods, flour, pasta – and cooking oil, chocolate, baby food, candies.

The 3500 Volunteer of the Food Bank Association is waiting for the offerings in 257 Auchan, Metro, Penny Market and Tesco stores from 3 pm to 8 pm on Friday, and between 8 am and 7 pm on Saturday. The collected donations will be transported to the needy families before Christmas. (MTI)
