GVH organized a workshop on managing food inflation
The competition authorities of the European Union discussed the management of food inflation in an online workshop organized by the Economic Competition Authority (GVH) on Wednesday, the agency informed MTI.
According to the announcement, the rise in food prices is causing problems throughout Europe, which many countries are trying to mitigate with competition policy tools. To discuss the topic, GVH organized an online workshop for the members of the European Competition Network (ECN), which includes EU competition authorities and the European Commission.
At the event, the competition authorities were able to get to know the various national competition authority measures related to food markets and inflation management, including the methodology and results of the Hungarian accelerated sectoral investigations, in which significant and continuous international interest is shown.
