The price of food and non-alcoholic beverages decreased by 1.2 percent in Poland
Annual inflation moderated in Poland in July, and consumer prices fell compared to June, according to the final data of the statistical office presented on Monday.
The annual consumer price increase in July slowed to 10.8 percent from 11.5 percent in June. The price of food and non-alcoholic beverages increased the most, by 15.6 percent, which was still below the 17.8 percent in June.
Compared to the previous month, consumer prices fell by 0.2 percent in July after stagnating in June. In a monthly comparison, the price of textile products and footwear fell the most, by 3.1 percent, in July, while the price of food and non-alcoholic beverages fell by 1.2 percent.
