The annual growth rate of the prices of food, tobacco and alcohol products slowed to 4 percent in February
In February, the annual inflation was 2.6 percent after January’s 2.8 percent, but the average of analysts’ expectations was 2.5 percent. A year ago in February, they measured 8.5 percent. In a monthly comparison, consumer prices increased by 0.6 percent, a decrease of 0.4 percent was measured in January. Energy prices were 3.7 percent lower than a year earlier in February after a larger 6.1 percent decrease in January
