Italy’s illycaffè wants to conquer the USA

Illycaffè currently operates 23 units in North America and in the next 5 years they intend to open 200 new cafés in the USA. For illycaffè the US market accounts for sales of nearly EUR 100 million out of a total EUR 483 million last year. The project – which would be a significant expansion overseas for the Italian company – is conditional on finding an ally with a deep knowledge of the US market.
