Hungarian software development company Bobcats Coding expands in the United States
Bobcats Coding, a Hungarian software development company founded in 2023 by Barbara Fazekas, Tamás Kökény and Barbara Varga-Baráth, closed its first business year with a revenue of more than 460 million forints. The company implements AI-focused digital product development projects and has been targeting the international market from the beginning.
Bobcats Coding is successfully expanding in the international market: the company closed its first full business year in 2024 with a revenue of 464.5 million, with orders coming almost exclusively from international clients. The company, which primarily relied on the founders’ network of contacts in the early phase, is now building its business presence through independent, scalable sales channels. The company’s ownership structure is unusual in the domestic market, as two-thirds of the company is owned by women: the co-founders Barbaras are primarily responsible for strategy, sales and team management.
“From the very beginning, our goal has been to sell outstanding Hungarian IT expertise on the international market. We have assembled world-class digital product development teams that can stand their ground anywhere – many did not believe that this would be possible in one step after the foundation, but so far the numbers have proven us right”
– said Barbara Fazekas, CEO of Bobcats Coding. “We are building a global business culture, our teams work smoothly on the Colorado-Lisbon-Budapest axis, on cross-border projects, where the 7-8 hour time difference is actually an advantage, not a disadvantage – while American clients are sleeping, we are already focusing on the next day’s tasks.”
The company’s primary market has become the United States, and within that the state of Colorado, from where clients discover the services thanks to international marketing activities. Their offering focuses on IT product management, product design, UX design and research, full-scale development, IT product support and testing, and data engineering activities.
