Amazon dominates the world’s book market
The rise of Amazon has put traditional bookstores in ever greater trouble in recent years. And based on the latest data, it seems that the leading role of the American giant in the book market now extends to the entire world, Origo points out, according to a recent survey by Statista.
The e-commerce giant Amazon also dominates book sales globally. And the American company’s service puts traditional bookstores in an increasingly difficult situation, which in many cases have closed due to Amazon’s dominance.
Statista’s global consumer survey also reveals which country’s consumers use Amazon the most to buy books. The survey was conducted in June, with 800-3,000 respondents from different countries in the 16-64 age group.
