EBay expects that in the first months of 2018, more businesses will start trading online
New Year is often a period of new beginnings. This is true even if we plan to launch an online business – according to eBay’s survey. The data shows that e-commerce is booming in Europe. If we look at the data, 9746 sellers registered on the site in Hungary since 2012, while 2725 in 2017.
The new businesses are extremely successful when we take into account first-year sales. The 10 most successful companies that started operating last year realized a total turnover together of more than 245 million forints in 2017. This means that an online business recorded an average revenue of 24.5 million forints in the first year.
