Hungarians prefer advertisements sent in e-mail
Hungarian citizens prefer commercials being sent to their e-mail address more than any other nation does. If a company or an institute send information in e-mail, using the clients real name, Hungarians believe this is a valuable commercial – this is what, among many other things, Nielsen's survey carried out in 55 countries pointed out about the main reasons behind purchasing food products.
Six out of ten Hungarians (58 percent) percieve the information received in e-mail more valuable after having visited a website. The reason why they think the commercial is valuable is because they get it in an e-mail addressed to them. 53 percent believe they get useful information for free, with content they would otherwise have to pay for. “Advertisements I get in e-mail make my life easier” – 49 percent of those taking part in the survey answered.
