Annual inflation in e-commerce is already in the single digits
In all the main categories of the most popular products sold in online trade, price changes below the official consumer price index have taken place over the past 12 months, not a single product category has seen a price drop since September last year – the price comparison portal Olcsóbbat.hu stated in connection with the fact that on the site nearly It examined the annual price changes of the most popular products in 90 product categories, covering more than 3,000 products.
The average annual price increase of 9.3 percent for daily consumer goods is close to the 12.2 percent inflation reported by KSH for September. The average increase in the price of health and beauty products was 6.9 percent. In the case of household appliances, however, the average price increase was only 0.6 percent, while the price of sports equipment was 5.3 percent lower, and the average price of entertainment electronics was almost 14 percent less than a year ago.
Among daily consumer goods in online web stores, the price of basic foodstuffs increased the most (+17%), while the price of dietary supplements (+17%) increased the most in the health and beauty care category. Among household appliances, there was an increase in the price of kitchen appliances (between 3-5%), while the price of mobile air conditioners fell by almost 8 percent. A slight price decrease was almost uniformly observed among sports equipment, with the exception of bicycles and scooters, but their average price did not increase by more than a few percent. extent. In the entertainment electronics category, smart watches cost 13 percent, mobile phones 16 percent, and televisions 19 percent less than a year earlier.
