Auchan Hungary Ltd. recalled brown beer from circulation
Due to secondary fermentation caused by lactic acid bacteria, Auchan Hungary Ltd. has recalled a brown beer product from the market – the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) drew attention to it in a statement sent to MTI on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the 0.33 liter Vidám Vadkan Imperial Stout unfiltered quality brown canned beer affected by the recall is manufactured by K&H Trans Ltd., distributed by Auchan Hungary Ltd., the product’s best before date is November 14, 2026, lot number 251114.
Secondary fermentation may occur in the affected batch, which may cause overpressure, the box may bulge, mechanical damage to the box lid, or damage when opened – the announcement said.
It was added that consuming the product does not pose a health risk.
The affected product can be returned to any Auchan store, and the price will be refunded even without a block – the Nébih informed.
