Asda navigates customers to the shops
Asda, Wal-Mart’s UK retailer will begin using the NAVTEQ Direct Access programme, an advertising solution integrated into car navigation systems.
The system uses community-generated
data sourced from participating merchants to provide high quality
Point of Interest (POI) information to end users. The programme
offers a way to connect with its mobile customers and provide its
store locations on the NAVTEQ map. “As an advertising platform,
NAVTEQ Direct Access is both effective and cost-efficient,”
commented Roy Clark, change programme manager at Asda. “It helps us
increase our reach to millions of consumers, right at the moment they
are ready to make a purchase. ”
