More and more import melon in the stores
Eight years ago, Hungary was the world's fourth largest melon exporter but since then foreign sales have fallen into one-third. Hungary loses the foreign markets of the Hungarian melon continuously – said Fazekas Sándor Rural Development Minister on Friday at a melon forum in Medgyesegyháza, Békés County.
He added that the suppliers sideline from the chain of stores, that are increasingly turning to imports, thus decreasing the number of domestic products, which may start a chain reaction, which should be avoided in any case – reports vallalkozoinegyed.hu.
