Retails aiming to increase less than expected
Retail companies are not planning to add the 5 percent VAT-rate increase to all their prices, to be introduced on 1st July – companies interviewed by MTI pointed out.
The spokesperson of Tesco has crossed out the possibility of increasing prices significantly within the compass of the 5 percent VAT-rate increase – what is more, Tesco ios trying to reach a customer-friendly balance of prices. The new price-system is going to be introduced on 3th June starting from 11 pm to 6 am the next day, so non-stop Tesco stores are going to be closed during that timeline. According to the communicator of CBA, the company has agreed with a number of deliverers to keep prices low in order to avoid customers paying the high price of the VAT-rate increase. As a result of these agreements, a wide range of products in CBA are going to be available for the same price as before.
