The 10-20 percent increase in the price of pine trees expected for this year’s holiday will not cause a significant change in shopping habits, 54 percent of buyers are still interested in nordmann pine, Agroinform.hu told MTI on Wednesday, based on last week’s survey.

Nordmann pine remains the most popular

In second place is silver pine with 22 percent, while in third place is spruce with 18 percent. 6 percent of customers are interested in other varieties. 46 percent of pine tree buyers plan to buy pine over one and a half meters.

26 percent of the respondents plan to purchase the Christmas tree for an amount higher than 7-10 thousand, and another 23 percent plan to purchase the Christmas tree for more than 10 thousand forints, 51 percent would spend less. (MTI)
