The price of Arabica breaks new peaks
The price of Arabica coffee increased to its thirteen years peak: on Wednesday, at the Intercontinental Exchange futures exchange, 1 pound (45.36 decagramme) of arabica increased by 2.4 percent to 1.9715 USD.
Last time when arabica cost so much was in June 1997. Since the beginning of June, the coffee increased by nearly 40 percent. According to analysts; the increase is essentially due to technical purchases, and not by fundamental reasons. In their opinion, the price of arabica in the near future could reach two dollars, however, in medium terms, after the new crop harvested, they expect decline – reports MTI.
