Euro area’s retail sales increased in April, following a decline
According to the report of Eurostat; Retail sales rose in May in the euro area, after the significant decline of April.
Retail sales rose by 0.2 percent in May compared to April in the 16 Member States of the euro area (adjusted from working day and seasonal factors). The experts interviewed by Dow Jones and Reuters news agencies expected a 0.4 percent growth in retail sales for May in the euro area. In the EU 27, retail sales increased by 0.4 percent in May, compared to April – reports MTI.
