With the exception of the American crop, the world market price of wheat continued to decrease
According to Tallage’s information in February, with the exception of the American crop, the world market price of wheat for the immediate delivery period between January 15 and February 9 continued to decrease.
In Germany, the price of mill wheat with a protein content of 12.5 percent (FOB Hamburg) fell by $10 to $267/ton. The immediate export (FOB) price of milling wheat arriving in Rouen was $6 lower at $233/ton at the same time. 11.5 percent protein mill wheat (FOB) produced in Russia was available for spot delivery at $222/t ($-10) and 12.5 percent protein at $229/t ($-13) on February 9 . In Romania and Bulgaria, the spot market price of mill wheat per ton was 230 dollars (-17 dollars). In the USA, the spot market price of soft red winter wheat (SRW) increased by $1 to $257/ton, and that of 11% protein hard red winter wheat (HRW) increased by $6 to $288/ton during the indicated period. In Argentina, the spot export price of the crop fell by $6 to $239/ton in early February (Tallage).
In Hungary, according to AKI PÁIR data, edible wheat was traded at an average producer price of HUF 67,000/tonne excluding VAT and transport costs in the fourth week of February
This price level is 32 percent below the previous year. Feed wheat traded for HUF 59.5 thousand/ton (-39 percent) at the same time. On the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME/CBOT), March wheat prices fluctuated between $206 and $215/ton between February 20 and March 1. At the same time, on the Paris Commodity Exchange (Euronext/MATIF), the crop was quoted in March between 183 and 208 euros/ton.
