U.S. consumer optimism spins the world's largest economy
In January, consumer sentiment continued to improve higher than the expectations of the analysts in the United States. The joint monthly sentiment index of Reuters news agency and the University of Michigan became 75.0 points, after the 69.9 points of December.
Analysts expected 74.1 points. The current assessment of the situation sub-indicator increased to 84.2 points, from the 79.6 points of December, while the six-month expectations sub-indicator became 69.1 points, after the 63.6 points of December.The 12-month inflation expectation of the consumers is 3.3 percent – reports ProfitLine.hu.
