Aluminum is valuable waste – but what to do with it on the beach?
What do iced coffee sipped on a beach, an energy drink opened at a festival, and cold beer at a family garden party have in common? In addition to the fact that they all feel very good, we will probably drink all of them from an aluminum can. What will be the fate of this box? If you already have proven waste management habits at home or in the office, they can unfortunately be overridden by the summer months. Of all the recyclable materials, aluminum is one of the most valuable. Not only because of the price of the raw material, but also because compared to the production of the new metal, 95 percent less energy is needed for recycling from waste. The All Box Returns initiative is working to promote their recycling, for which they have found the most practical solution for us: today we can throw empty boxes into nearly 200 redemption machines nationwide.
