The two-third of the apple crop is processed by industrial plants
Industrial plants processed the two-third of the annual 820-900 thousand tonnes of apple crop last year – the President of the Product Council in Újfehértó told MTI.
Takács Ferenc said that according to the datas, 550 thousand tonnes of apples were bought to make concentrates, comapred to the usual volume of 400 thousand tonnes.
He added that 60-80 thousand tonnes were bought by medium, or small distilling, canning, refrigeration and dryer companies, about 10 thousand tons more than the usual volume. (MTI)
