Christmas products appeared in Aldi by the first of September – pointed out a Pénzcentrum reader who also took photos of the pre-sales.

Panettone is HUF 2,499 and the chocolate Christmas cake is HUF 1,599. This early preparation is also common in other countries, for example, last year the English Tesco published a Christmas advertisement already in mid-July, suggesting customers to start their holiday shopping in advance due to rising food prices.

This strategy can be good even in a high inflation environment, although we can trust that, according to the Prime Minister’s promise, inflation will decrease this year, so more favorable prices can be expected at Christmas.
