The acquisition is a significant step in AgroVIR Kft.’s strategy, which focuses on supporting farmers with competitive digital solutions. With the combined expertise, the company intends to continue to provide outstanding services not only domestically but also internationally.
The contract for the distribution of NEXT Farming software was terminated by the previous rights holder with effect from December 31, 2024
As a result:
- FarmFacts Hungary Kft. may not sell new NEXT Farming licenses.
- There will be no further software updates for the NEXT Farming Pro system.
- Only technical and program usage support is available to existing customers.
- New features and bug fixes will not be developed for the software.
With the acquisition, AgroVIR Kft. ensures that NEXT Farming customers have a continuous technological and software background, while the precision services and professional support of FarmFacts Hungary Kft. will continue to be available. In order to facilitate the transition, representatives of the two companies will jointly contact the affected customers and provide detailed information about the steps of the changes. Miklós Maróti, CEO of AgroVIR Kft., highlighted: “AgroVIR has always been committed to supporting farmers, and this acquisition clearly reflects this dedication. It is important for us that current NEXT Farming users can continue to enjoy the benefits of digitalization and our expanded services with a smooth transition.” Dr. Péter Gyódi, CEO of FarmFacts Hungary Kft., said: “Our goal is to preserve the values we have built up so far and to fully fulfill our commitments to farmers. Although support for the farm management software will be discontinued, we remain committed to continuing our precision services, which will play a prominent role in our future strategy.” With this step, AgroVIR Kft. further strengthens its position in the field of Hungarian agricultural digitalization, contributing to the sustainable success and more efficient operation of domestic farmers.
