Agrarian digitization is the future
The main objectives of agriculture is to increase the efficiency of the domestic agriculture and the food sector in the medium term, the safe food supply of the Hungarian population and the emergence of export markets in the long run – Ondré Péter, Managing Director of the Agrármarketing Centrum (AMC) said at the roundtable discussion of the ITSZÜRET 2018 (IT HARVEST 2018) Conference on Agrarian Informatics Solutions.
At the Roundtable, AMC’s Managing Director pointed out that the inefficiency of our existing resources is demonstrated by several statistics: “With regard to the agricultural income generated over a year, we see that the Hungarian average is one third of the EU average, It is only a tenth of the amount of 80 to 82 thousand euros; besides, Hungary owns only 54 percent of the EU average yield per hectare. “
