The VAT changes may put an end to food black markets
If the government carries out the plans of the Ministry of Agiculture, it may significantly reduce the black market of food sales. Several tax cut or transferring solutions can be considered.
According to the estimations of the experts; 30-35 percent of the meat, 25-30 of the poultry, 30-40 percent of fruits and vegetables are from the black market. 10 percent of the grain trade is also affected. All together, the strength of the black market represents at least a 50 billion HUF shortfall in tax revenues – reports szabadfold.hu.
