Five Central and Eastern European countries call for joint action against VAT fraud
Five Central and Eastern European countries call for joint action against VAT fraud, among other things, to extend reverse VAT – Varga Mihály, Minister of National Economy (NGM) told MTI.
The Minister of National Economy said that VAT frauds cause serious problems in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary and Bulgaria. The so-called “carousel fraud” and the problem of “missing traders” is the same everywhere. There are no borders within the EU, so it is easy to get illicit income by moving goods – he emphasized.
