Data and AI write the future together, but we just don’t trust them: only 20 percent of managers make decisions based on data
Almost all of our activities have become faster and more efficient thanks to the technological revolution taking place before our eyes, but along with the brave new world has come an unprecedented crisis of confidence. We are building digital data-based companies and society, while elections are being decided in the mazes of the digital space, we can no longer believe the videos we see with our own eyes, but even our health findings can be easily manipulated. How can you make responsible business decisions in this environment, why is it a big undertaking to educate people in the area of data authenticity, and why should you turn to blockchain technology for a solution? At the Stylers Group event, experts explored the topic that concerns us all.
It is no exaggeration to say that in the digital age, data is worth its weight in gold: the value of the business analytics software market approached $177 billion in 2023, and the global big data industry could reach $745 billion by the end of the decade. Professional, tailored analysis of the data assets accumulated during their operations, tailored for strategic purposes, is now indispensable for companies, from trade to the banking sector to manufacturing, which also serves as the basis for fate-changing corporate decisions.
“Artificial intelligence burst into this environment, which is faster, more efficient and takes data processing to a new dimension in all aspects, but at the same time it also has its risks. According to recent research, mainstream AI models lack transparency to a large extent: they must first be taught to “think,” which can only be built on a wealth of reliable data, and then input the appropriate information and operate the system. It can be manipulated at almost every point of the process, intentionally or due to an accidental error, and it is impossible to find out what, when, how it happened”
– said technology and digitization expert Gyula Solymos, head of the MCS of the Blockchain Coalition, on the last occasion of the Protechtor corporate and management knowledge-sharing event series organized by Stylers Group.
