Accor opens a Mercure hotel in Tokaj
Accor, the world’s leading hotel and catering group, has opened a hotel in Tokaj, which has signed an operating agreement with Hotel Tokaj Kft.; the new Mercure Tokaj hotel will welcome its first guests next spring, the hotel group told MTI on Thursday.
For the Mercure brand, Tokaj is the second destination in Hungary besides Budapest, they wrote in the statement. They quoted Dilek Sezer, Accor’s Director of Development for Southeast Europe, who called the opening of the Tokaj hotel a great opportunity to expand their rural network. He added that the area around the most famous Hungarian wine route is an increasingly popular leisure destination. (MTI)
