Nestlé and Tesco support the work of the Hungarian Food Bank Association with a total of 8.1 million HUF thanks to their cooperation in the autumn. As part of its two-week fall charity campaign, Nestlé offered one percent of the value of its products sold to charity, which was doubled by Tesco. The Food Bank provides food packages to families in need.
This fall, Nestlé and Tesco teamed up to support families in need together with the customers. During the charity event, Nestlé offered one percent of the price of Nestlé products (coffee, sweets, baby food, pet food, etc.) purchased at Tesco hypermarkets, and Tesco doubled the amount. The donation reached a total of 8,100,000 HUF to help the families in need. Of this amount, the Hungarian Food Bank Association can deliver nearly 145,000 food packages to needy people, which include food donated by their food industrial partners.
