Prices dropping since August
Average consumer price remained unchanged in September 2008, compared to August, but was up by 5.7 percent compared to September 2007. Food prices were down by 0.1 percent compared to August, with the price of seasonal food (fresh fruits and vegetables) dropping by 4.9 percent and the price of other foods going up 0.3 percent. Average food price was up by 8.1 percent compared to September 2007.
