Growth in the U.S. economy slowed in August
In August, it declined more than expected from the previous month, bringing the slowest rate of performance growth in the US economy for eight months, according to preliminary values from the procurement manager indices of the IHS Markit Economic Research Institute.
In August, instead of the 59.5 points expected by analysts, the value of the service purchasing manager index in the United States decreased to 55.2 points, the lowest in eight months from the previous month’s 59.9 points. (MTI)
