Business expectations improved in August
The GKI-Erste economic sentiment index adjusted for seasonal effects moved upwards slightly in August. This is the result of an improvement in business expectations as the consumer confidence index declined. According to the empirical survey conducted by GKI with the support of the EU, following their improvement in the spring, economic expectations remained unchanged during the summer.
