The euro area economic sentiment index improved in August
Economic sentiment in the euro area improved in August, but worsened in the European Union, according to a report released by the European Commission’s Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG EcFin) on Thursday. In August, Hungary reached the second highest sentiment index after Lithuania.
The Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) increased by 0.4 points to 103.1 points in the euro area in August, compared to the previous month, while decreased by 0.6 points in the EU to 101.4 points in August, compared to the previous month. (MTI)
