Season at Lake Balaton finally started in August
According to the CEO of Balatontourist; there would be no complaint about this year's season at Lake Balaton. The next year looks even better if the Western tourists are returning.
Polgár Tibor, Chief Executive Officer of Balatontoruist Ltd. stated, that until the first part of August, the traffic of the campings of the lake were only 5 percent less, compared to the same period of the previous year. The lack of Westerners have largely replaced by the much larger mass of Hungarian, Polish and Czech visitors. Until the first part of August, 522 thousand nights have spent by domestic and foreign tourists in the campings of the company. This is worse than last year’s data, but better than the 2007 season – reports Piac & Profit.
