Typical blue grape varieties are harvested in Villány at the end of August
Some farmers may begin harvesting blue grapes in the Villány wine region in the last days of August, the secretary of the 2,500-hectare vineyard council told MTI.
Nagy Gergely said that the harvesting of the portugieser, known as a specialty of the wine region, starts with the harvesting of a blue grape, which gives red wine, and by the beginning of September the harvesting takes place all over the wine region. (MTI)
