Transitional support for food processors can be re-applied from 31 August
Between 31 August and 14 September 2020, the Ministry of Agriculture will reopen the transitional support program for the food processing and ornamental plant sector announced in the first phase of the National Food Crisis Management Program, from the resources received from the Economic Protection Fund.
In order to alleviate the economic damage caused by the coronavirus epidemic, in the next application period, the companies and farms concerned are entitled to submit an aid application who were unable to do so in the first round of support. Other conditions for the use of subsidies remain unchanged, ie food processing enterprises can apply for HUF 125,000 and ornamental plant growers for HUF 500,000 per employee.
Grant applications can be submitted to the Hungarian State Treasury electronically via the electronic form filling interface provided for this purpose. The difference between the amount of HUF 8 billion and HUF 1.4 billion allocated to the food processing and ornamental plant sector and the amount of support determined on the basis of all eligible support applications submitted in the first application round will be used for the eligible support requirements established for the applications submitted in the new application period.
