Wizz Air takes delivery of its 250th aircraft
Wizz Air has unveiled its 250th aircraft in Budapest – the company told MTI on Friday.

According to the information, the airline aims to increase the number of its aircraft to 500 in the long term. The airline’s fleet consists of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, 70 percent of which represent new technology. In their latest business report, they wrote: on September 30 this year, the Wizz Air fleet consisted of 243 aircraft, compared to 224 a year earlier.
At their latest press conference in Budapest, CEO József Váradi said: Wizz Air is on a growth path, their flights operate on about a thousand routes, reaching more than 200 destinations in more than 40 countries.
According to their expectations, they are expected to carry 72 million passengers this year, the center of the company’s growth is Central and Eastern Europe, where they have recently opened several strategic bases

The company carried 63.4 million passengers in its 2025 financial year. In the first half of this year, which ended on September 30, they had 36.5 million passengers, 9.8 percent more than a year earlier.
According to the half-year report, their total revenue increased by 9 percent compared to a year earlier, to 3.342 billion euros. Their profit after tax increased by 2.6 percent to 323.5 million euros. Their operating profit increased by 25.8 percent to more than 432 million euros.
