Coop to reduce the VAT rate on sanitary pads in Italy
Coop Italia has decided to absorb a recent VAT increase on sanitary pads in Italy, and has re-launched its campaign to reduce the tax rate on feminine hygiene products. Under the recently passed 2024 budget law by the Meloni government, the VAT on sanitary pads in Italy will rise to 10%, but Coop said it would absorb the increase on its private label pads until at least the end of April.
