At the opening of the wine competition, Minister of Agriculture Nagy István said that in the emergency situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic this year, it was not enough to think about the usual support system, as the wine sector was not exempted from the economic effects of the pandemic. Therefore, in the coming months, the Ministry of Agriculture will provide more than 9 billion HUF in resources to alleviate the economic damage caused by the coronavirus to Hungarian wine growers and wine producers, using EU and national funds.
