Small shops’ share is above the average
Like-for-like growth was 6 percent in spice retail value sales in December 2013-March 2014. Sales valued at approximately HUF 5 billion and volume sales were up 4 percent. The 401-2,500m² channel’s share was only 31 percent in value sales. Small shops’ share was above their grocery sales average. In the examined period manufacturer brands realised 71 percent of value sales – 3 percentage points less than in the same period 12 months earlier.
