Magazine: Food price increase above the average
In March 2018 consumer prices were 2 percent higher on average than a year before. In comparison with March 2017, food prices increased by 4.1 percent. Egg’s price soared by 27 percent and butter/dairy spread’s price rose 14.2 percent. Dairy product prices augmented by 6.9 percent and bread cost 5.6 percent more. Sugar became 18.1 percent cheaper.
Alcoholic drink and tobacco product prices grew by 6.8 percent. The price of household energy got 1.4 percent higher. Services were provided for 1.1 percent more. Motor fuels turned 2 percent less expensive. Compared with February 2018, consumer prices elevated by 0.1 percent and food prices edged up 0.3 percent. //
