Mihály Figula was awarded the “Wine Producer of the Year in Hungary 2022” award
The “Wine Producer of the Year in Hungary 2022” title, the most prestigious domestic award that can be won by Hungarian winemakers, is taken care of by the Hungarian Wine Academy. The award, founded in 1991, was presented to this year’s honoree, Mihály Figula, in the ballroom of the Marriott Hotel.
The award does not mean recognition of the excellent quality of a wine, but can be awarded for the outstanding performance of the winning wine producer over several years, for the constant, excellent quality of his wines, for their domestic and foreign successes, and for his efforts for the wine industry.
The award is presented to the winning winemaker every year at a large-scale gala dinner. The dishes of the lunch were composed by famous domestic chefs for the wines of the winning winemaker, this time Mihály Figula.
