Thirty-four applicants with forty entries – including two cross-border businesses – received the Value and Quality Grand Prize recognition this year, with the awards presented on Thursday in the Parliament. Several winners also received special recognition from the founders and the organizers’ council.

János Latorcai, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and chief patron of the Value and Quality Grand Prize competition, highlighted in his welcome speech that the Hungarian economy must be built on greater added value, innovation, and quality.

He added that the growth of the Hungarian economy is supported by the expansion of real wages, and it is encouraging that not only domestic consumption is increasing, but also consumer confidence in Hungarian products and services.

The Value and Quality Grand Prize competition also promotes the consumption of Hungarian goods. Carrying the trademark symbolizes that Hungarian businesses are capable of creating products and services that win the trust of consumers both domestically and internationally.

András Tállai, Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, spoke about how climate change poses significant challenges for agricultural producers.

The future of agriculture also depends on how well the sector can produce high added value.

The use of modern technologies helps farmers in their work, while it is also important to preserve Hungarian characteristics. The Ministry of Agriculture supports the development of farmers, agricultural entrepreneurs, and the sector through tenders – emphasized the state secretary.
