The highest state awards of the tourism profession were presented
This year, the most prestigious recognition of activity in the tourism industry was once again given to professionals who carry out their work with unwavering dedication and love for their country for the development of Hungary’s tourism. The Sándor Csoma Kőrösi awards were presented to this year’s honorees by Csaba Dömötör, Parliamentary State Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Office, and Péter Horváth, CEO of the Hungarian Tourism Agency, on December 7, 2022, in Budapest.
Csaba Dömötör, the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Office, said in his greeting:
“The last word goes to you once again. Thank you to all representatives of the tourism sector. Thank you for persevering and standing firm even in an extraordinary period. Probably because they know: tourism is not just one sector among many. Not only the Hungarian economy is constantly growing part of it. It’s not just a multitude of jobs. It’s much more than that. An opportunity to show the world the most beautiful shades of Hungary. And for those of us who live here, make the ties that bind us with a thousand threads, which we could more simply say, patriotism, even stronger. Thank you. because you have never ignored this and will ignore it.”
The award, marked by the name of the world-renowned traveler and linguist, was again awarded this year to professionals who set an example for the profession, enhance the reputation of Hungarians both at home and abroad, and are also committed to quality, whether it is tourism, culture, or any other value of being Hungarian.
