The Hungarian Tourism Quality Award was handed over
Twenty-eight hotels and eleven restaurants received the Hungarian Tourism Quality Award within the 2018 competition. Together with them, 104 service providers, including 75 hotels and 29 restaurants entitled to use the trademark founded by the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ).
Szabó Áron, director of MTÜ responsible for accommodation and hospitality said on Tuesday at the award ceremony in Budapest that a record number of 41 service providers had applied for last year’s competition, while 2018 was a record year for tourism as a whole. According to the MTÜ, the Hungarian commercial accommodations had 12.5 million guests last year and the number of guest nights almost reached 31 million. (MTI)
