The tourist developments of Arbo Park in Gödöllő were handed over
Pilisi Parkerdő has renewed the tourist services of one of its most visited tourist centers, Arbo Park, the Gödöllő forestry arboretum, the spokesperson of the forestry company told MTI on Tuesday.
According to Péter Mészáros, a forest fitness park was established with dozens of sports equipment, stretching rows, push machines, benches, a combined rib wall, abdominal and back benches.
A new forest playground was created, a mobile stage was built, nearly fifty sets of benches and tables were placed, and rain shelters were installed.
The value of the investments made in the Arbo Park area amounted to almost HUF 90 million. The specialty of the 120-year-old Gödöllő forestry arboretum is that species can be found in their natural environment. One of the most important gene banks of domestic tree species and cultivated forest species can be found here. More than one hundred and fifty forest types occur in the area that is still actively used for research.
