The Borászok Borásza awards were presented
The awards for the Borászok Borásza award were presented on Friday in Budapest, this year the Borászok Borásza went to Szekszárd winemaker Zoltán Heimann, who was nominated by the winners of the past years, and the nominees chose the winner from among themselves.
The Future Winemaker award went to Péter Hock, a winemaking student at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE), who received a HUF 1 million scholarship for a professional internship abroad.
Wine expert Gergely Ripka, author of Táncoló Medve and Tokaj Guide, was recognized as the Friend of the Winemakers. The prize can be awarded to a civil figure who, through his activities, represents the interests of Hungarian wine to an outstanding extent and greatly helps the work of Hungarian winemakers.
Pál Rókusfalvy, the government commissioner responsible for wine marketing and the founder of the Borászok Borásza award, said in his welcome speech at the awards gala that the wine marketing strategy, which is about cooperation and focuses on culture, economy, tradition, innovation, experience and education, will be finalized soon.
