The 7th K&H family companies excellence award was presented
Family companies have successfully overcome many crises since the regime change, thanks to the way of thinking that focuses on long-term planning, the retention of colleagues and customers, and continuous improvements instead of short-term interests.
The recognition and preservation of this generational way of thinking is also important from the point of view of the economy. For the seventh time, the K&H Family Companies Award of Excellence was presented to those domestic companies that, in addition to preserving family values, show outstanding performance in the implementation of long-term strategy, innovation, successful generation change and sustainability programs.
This year’s K&H family companies’ excellence awards were presented to the eight Hungarian family companies that provided outstanding performance in the past year with their long-term strategy, innovation, successful generational change and sustainability efforts.
“Family-owned companies play a decisive role in the economy: based on the KPMG European Family Business Barometer 2019 survey, around 70 percent of companies are such companies. At the domestic level, according to Opten’s records, there are more than 200,000 family businesses, so a significant part of employment is also due to these companies. For many years, K&H has therefore placed special emphasis on strengthening the long-term sustainable operation of domestic family businesses and the preservation of their values - in this way we support the stability and growth of the economy”
– said Ákos Ékes, head of the K&H family companies center, at the presentation of the 7th K&H family companies excellence award.
